Owner Richard J. Weber and his talented staff have transformed an old tobacco farm into a wonderful shopping experience. Comprised of 6½ acres just south of Lexington, Springhouse Gardens showcases beautiful gardens, dry-laid stonewalls and water gardens all in a rustic rural setting. Springhouse Gardens is a unique garden center and landscape company specializing in rare and unusual plants and personalized garden design and installation services. 

A native of Lexington, Richard has been a plant lover and a gardener for most of his life. After graduating from the University of Kentucky with a Bachelor of Science in Landscape Architecture, he earned a Masters Degree in Landscape Architecture from the University of Massachusetts in Amherst.  In 1995, Richard and his wife Debbie founded Springhouse Gardens on the site of an old tobacco farm on Historic U.S. 68, just south of Lexington.
